Community
Peterchurch is a vibrant rural community, located in the heart of the Golden Valley, almost equidistant between Hereford and Hay-on-Wye. Comprising a population of over 1000, Peterchurch has a Village Hall, a Village Shop & Post Office and a number of local businesses within its parish boundary.
The village has a popular Facebook Group which keeps residents connected with each other virtually, as well as plenty of face-to-face activities and events to entertain young and old alike! Click on the links/logos below to find out more...

The Hub at St Peter's
The Hub plays a key role in the local community and in the Golden Valley more generally. The Hub comprises a Café, a Community Library, an Exhibition and Workshop Space, and a Venue For Hire. In addition, The Hub's staff and volunteers run a Community Helpline and the Peterchurch Online Community Facebook Group.
The Hub's Project Coordinator works with Herefordshire Council to provide a Talk Community Hub within the building, providing signposting and support to local people. NHS professionals also run drop-in sessions from The Hub; this enables them to support the local community and reduces the need for Golden Valley residents to travel into Hereford.
The work of The Hub's many volunteers has recently been recognised: in October 2022 they were proclaimed the English winners of the Church and Community Volunteer Award at the National Church Awards!
